In line with our good neighbor and sharing our good fortune initiatives, we distributed boxes of kurma (Dates), to the surrounding community, fishermen, and mosques to usher in Ramadhan 1439 H. This yearly activity takes place over two days. It is important this activity is held the during the first week so that all who are fasting can use kurma to break their fast or as Takjil.

Idul Adha
Lamongan Shorebase celebrated Idul Adha together with Kemantren people today. We presented animals to be sacrificed to the representative of Al-Abror Mosque. The meat will be distributed to the less fortunate people from the surrounding areas. We do this to prove our sincerity to God. We thank God for the time to be able to share with the unfortunate. Once again, Selamat Hari Raya IdulAdha!
Orphanage Visit: Donation & Breakfast Together
The Ta’mir of our own Lamongan Shorbase Al-Kautsar mosque put together a schedule to visit the Orphanages in the areas surrounding Lamongan Shorebase. This year, 2017, we visited an orphanage in Blimbing village which is home to more than 40 orphans. We spoke with the head caretaker of this orphanage, and he shared with us his struggles to keep this orphanage running and to provide the best for those under her care. Sharing our good fortune and prayers with them, we handed out donations, gifts, and dished out meals to all. We hope to meet them again in the future with more opportunities to share stories, food, and good fortune.
Santunan Panti Asuhan Sunan Drajat
Annually, we organize a charity pray and dine event with the Sunan Drajat Orphanage. We are constantly working on further developing our relationship with the Orphanage, its leaders and children. Then event was opened with a short speech by Pak Edi, who is the head of the Orphanage. Everyone filled their bellies with food and filled the air with joy and laughter. Good bags were then handed out to all the children in the orphanage at the closing of the event.
Food box Distribution Kemantren 2017
People gathered at 07:00AM in the morning with Foodbox coupons in their hands, eager to receive their share of the Foodbox Distribution. One of many CSR events for the community, the Foodbox distribution was held at Balai Desa Kemantren.
The aim of this event is share good fortune to our community. Each box contains basic daily necessities such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, and various snacks, which can be shared within individual families.
Throughout the two days, we distributed more than 1,500 boxes.
Ta’jil Ramadhan Giveaway
Sharing is always an act of caring. Staff from all departments are each assigned a day where they will distribute Ta’jil which they bought by collecting donations from their colleagues. Hundreds of packets of Ta’jil were distributed at a station set-up at the main road.
Buka Puasa Bersama Kemantren 2017
Following our initiative to stay in touch with the local community, this year’s Buka Puasa with Kemantren was well received by both the committee and our employees.
The event was held at the biggest mosque in Desa Kemantren, Al-Abror.
Over 1,500 people attended the celebration, including the various leaders and important figures of Kemantren. The start of the event was opened with prayers, and was shortly followed by a speech from our Operation Manager, Pak Sugeng.
The yearly Buka Puasa event plays a crucial role in bonding with the community. We look forward to organizing this event for many more years to come.
Distribution of Kurma (Dates) to the Community
For a week during the month of Ramadan, Lamongan Shorebase Employees were up and about as soon as the sun rose. They were busy distributing boxes of kurma (dates) to representatives of the mosques and fishermen from the surrounding community. Dates, are high in energy and vitamins and is mostly eaten during the month of Ramadan as a means to break fast or as sahur (last meal before the day’s fast starts). Distributing boxes of this delicious and nutritious fruit during this very important month is one of the ways we share our good fortune with our community and the less fortunate around us.
Lamongan Beach Run 10KM 2016
JAPFA Foundation, a foundation that maximizes the Youth Potential through development of education, nutrition and sports, approached all the local communities and businesses in Lamongan to join the Lamongan Beach Run 10KM.
The objective for this event was to develop the local communities, to raise & promote healthy awareness and to seek potential local athletes. At the finishing line, a bazaar created by the local community was set up there, with local musical talents performing to create a lively environment.
Lamongan Shorebase was delighted to be the host for the 5KM starting line. Our in-house band East Life also had the privilege to perform on stage at the bazaar.
We would like to thank JAPFA foundation, the local communities and business organizations for a highly successful event, and for participating. Around 2,000 people attended the event during the day.
Food box Distribution Kemantren
During the fasting month of Ramadan, it is a yearly agenda for Eastern Logistics to initiate a charity program to distribute Food Boxes at Balai Desa Kemantren to show our appreciation to our closest community.
The food box distribution event was running for two days, 28 – 29 June 2016. The event started at 08:00am and finished late afternoon each day. As this is a charity program, many of Eastern Logistics staff attended and ensured that each person received their food box.
This year, we distributed more than 1,500 boxes in the two days.
